BKOAI | Empowering AI Agents with MCP and A2A

As part of its ongoing mission to drive applied AI innovation, BKOAI is proud to host an upcoming knowledge-sharing event on Tuesday, June 24, centered on the real-world deployment of generative AI systems and the infrastructure needed to support intelligent agents at scale.

Titled “Real-World Applications of Generative AI,” the event will bring together engineers, product leaders, and researchers from Houston’s fast-growing AI community, with over 4,399 members across three affiliated groups. This month’s session will take place at Improving Houston, and is already drawing strong interest from local professionals working at the intersection of AI, product, and enterprise systems.

A key highlight of the evening will be a technical deep dive from Houster, BKOAI’s CTO and AI Manager, titled:

"Standardizing the Future of AI Agents: MCP & A2A in Action"

In his session, Houster will introduce two emerging open protocols—Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent-to-Agent Protocol (A2A)—which are designed to streamline communication between LLMs, tools, and autonomous agents. Drawing parallels to “USB-C” and “Bluetooth” in the hardware world, these protocols aim to standardize agent ecosystems and reduce the need for brittle, ad hoc integrations.

The session will include:

  • An overview of how MCP enables plug-and-play LLM↔tool workflows
  • A breakdown of how A2A supports peer-to-peer agent collaboration
  • Side-by-side comparisons to understand their complementary roles
  • A hands-on live demo showing an MCP toolchain running entirely on a local machine

This is the first public demonstration of BKOAI’s internal protocol experimentation, with an eye toward open collaboration and feedback from the broader AI builder community.
